Getting started
- Installing DelayDock: Download DelayDock from Google Play and follow the on-screen setup instructions.
- Granting required permissions: DelayDock requires Accessibility Service permission to detect when restricted apps are opened. You will be prompted to enable this during setup. Navigate to your device's Settings > Accessibility to verify the permission is active.
- Selecting apps to manage: Open DelayDock and choose the apps you want to restrict. You can update your selection at any time from within the app.
Common issues
- Apps are not being blocked: Ensure DelayDock has Accessibility Service permission enabled. Also verify that the app you are trying to block is added to your managed list within DelayDock.
- Accessibility permission is not active: Go to your device's Settings > Accessibility > DelayDock and toggle the service on. Some devices may require you to confirm additional security prompts.
- Changes are not taking effect: Try closing and reopening DelayDock. If the issue persists, restart your device to ensure the accessibility service is running properly.
- App behaviour differs across Android devices: Android manufacturers implement accessibility and background services differently. Some features may behave slightly differently depending on your device model and Android version.
